Smudging

 Energy Clearing and House Cleansing

Grounding your space

Creating the Right Energy Field for Your Home and Business

Feeling depressed lately?  Is your business sale going slow?  Is there a consistent cycle of arguing in your home or work place?  Is there an unseen tension in the air?  Are you stuck in a rut?  Are your children acting out?  Do you feel unmotivated?  Feeling frustrated and/or tired?

If you said yes to any of these questions, then it's time for Smudging!!

The tradition of smudging is an ancient Native American tradition. They say it is the art of cleansing your self and your environment using simple ritual and ceremony. In New York they call it the ‘new’ Feng Shui. The idea when selling or buying a new home is that the energies left by previous occupiers can linger, and sometimes they are not positive. By Smudging a property you are cleansing it, and therefore giving it a clean sheet so to speak.

The effects of Smudging can be swift and dramatic. It can help you banish stress and attract love, soothe or give you energy. It can bring family closer together and let you adjust to the healing seasonal rhythms of the year. Above all, it can turn any space, however humble, into a soothing sanctuary

Spiritual energy
But the question I would ask is how can Smudging be so powerful? Experts tell us that the answer lies in the world of spiritual energy. Homes and bodies are not just made up of purely physical matter; they also vibrate with subtle, invisible energy. Cleansing a space or our bodies with techniques such as Smudging, clears away all the emotional and psychic rubbish that may have gathered over years.

These ideas are not new. Native American traditions date back millennia and most traditional cultures, from Zulus to the Maoris, from Chinese to the Balinese have age old forms of cleansing and blessing. Even the West retains relics of it, although we have long forgotten the true purpose behind many of our rituals and ceremonies. Why do we burn incense in the church? Similar to Smudging, the incense wafting through a church is cleansing the atmosphere just the same. Why do most churches have bells? Again the bells on churches were used in order that the sound would purify the whole parish and lead the community from everyday space into worship. This, of course, is not too far removed from the beating of drums in Africa that supposedly lead people on sacred journeys into the world of the spirits.
